Thaddeus is growing toooooo fast. He currently wears his father's shoes (9 1/2) and can fit into some of Karlton's pants that are to small for Karlton. He will be 12 in 4 months. Where did the time go? He's such a big help and I appreciate that he will watch his younger sisters and brother for me while I go grocery shopping or to meetings. I can't wait to see what he'll be when he grows up.
Everyone have a great week!

Mother's Day
Ah, Mother's Day. That day you think you will have perfect children who will show their appreciation for all you do by being their best selves especially at church. Let's just say that two years in a row now I have been seriously close to giving my children to a mother who could seriously do a much better job than me with them. Granted they were all wonderful angels before we got to church. The girls had done wonderful art projects at school for me, Alexis made me breakfast, and Thaddeus and Nicholas gave me great big hugs. Sacrament meeting started out ok. Rebekah was very vocal that she wanted to sleep during the passing of the sacrament. I took care of that by sitting next to her and explaining she needs to go to bed earlier on Saturday because she wakes up sooooo early (5am) in the mornings no matter when she goes to bed. Thaddeus was wonderful and helped out with Nicholas. I was smiling and then the kids went to Primary. I go to Sunday School and not 2 minutes later the Primary President brings me my darling Nicholas. He had been hitting. Some how I need to find him something to hit other than his parents, siblings, other kids. I have a little discussion with him about hitting, sit with him for a little bit, and then go back to class. Again, he comes back to me because he is hitting. I lose it and one wonderful sister comes to my rescue and tells me things will get better. It better or I may consider a change in employment. My hope is that next Mother's day I will not be in tears.
Karlton has totally made up for Sunday. I got a laptop and dinner and a movie. Star Trek is phenomenal! Quiznos is great too. I got Karlton a new stereo receiver and invested in fixing our PS3 and XBox 360 for Father's Day and Birthday since both fall in the month of June. We both got a new router/modem for our internet because ours died randomly yesterday. Boy did Best Buy get some money from us. Ok we are a family that likes our electronics.
I hope everyone else had a wonderful Mother's Day and a great week. Love, Leah

Spring Break 2009
I have finally posted some of our Spring Break pictures. There were too many pictures to choose from but I hope you enjoy what I have posted.
This spring break we went with Granny to Las Vegas NV. We also went to Zion National Park and to the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City. While in Salt Lake we were able to visit with our friend Damon and his family and our niece Kimberly and her sister-in-law Bethany and Bethany's children Mckenzie, Daniel, Josh, and Natalie. It was a wonderful vacation but it seemed short.
I hope you all have a great weekend. Leah

Where does the time go?
It has been a full 8 days since our family went on vacation. I am still working on getting the pictures and video downloaded. We had a great time but when we got home karlton said it felt like the shortest vacation we have taken. The kids couldn't believe they had to go to school the day after we got back. Well, have a great week!

Thanks!
I am so thankful that my niece Lori and niece-in-law Bethany have blogs that I can look at and figure out how to add things to my blog. By looking at Lori's blog today, I figured out how to do a slideshow of all my pictures. So now you might get to see more pictures of us than what's already posted. Check back Monday.
I am also thankful that I will be stepping down as Soccer Registrar next month. I'm glad I could help with the soccer program but I'm also happy that I will be able to help my children more individually at their practices and games without having to deal with soccer problems too.
Alexis and I went to Albuquerque for another post op visit with Dr. Allen who performed her surgery. Her left eyelid droops more than Dr. Allen would like it to but it doesn't have to be corrected anytime soon. Dr. Allen does feel it will probably need more lifting. Alexis charmed the pants off everyone in the office. She even impressed the nurse who had her read the eye chart. Alexis is in a Spanish/English kindergarten class so she knows her alphabet in spanish. So, when the nurse asked what letters Alexis saw, Alexis responded in spanish.
Well, I have to go get Alexis from school. Have a Great Weekend! Leah

Happy Valentine's Day!
Ok, I know today is not Valentine's Day but by some Miracle Karlton has tomorrow off. Now he does have to help set up the soccer fields so there is somewhere for the teams to practice next week, but he does get to spend the rest of the day with us.
We're counting down til spring break. We're going to Las Vegas, NV. My Mother-in-law kindly invited us to her time share special offer. We sure do love her lots. The kids are excited to go back and see all the lights and this time we are going to the Excaliber show and dinner. We are also going to see Hoover Dam and come home through Utah to see Zion National Park. It will be a fun week.
Again, I'm still trying to get Karlton to download and copy the video and pictures so I can add them here. It will eventually happen since I know you're all wondering what we've been doing.
Have a great week! Leah

I'm Back!
Again, I'm a horrible blogger. Alexis' surgery went really well. We see the surgeon Feb 28th for a postop visit and whether she'll need more surgery. We all hope not. Santa brought me Wii Fit. I have impressed Karlton by actually using it consistently since Dec 25th. I have even reached my first goal of losing 5 pounds by Jan 25th early. I have again set my next goal as being 5pounds by a month from now. I'm working on getting pictures and video downloaded. It might take awhile so check ever so often. I am also excited that after April, I don't have to do soccer registration anymore. Whether we play in the fall is still being debated. I'm ready for a break but the kids might not be. Finally, we used our Christmas money from my parents to get a 6 month family pass for the Bloomfield swimming pool. Our plan is to swim once a week and so far we have been able to. Hope you have a wonderful week! Leah
